CST300 Module 8

Part 1: Team MobiusRetrieval:  General Population Video:  https://youtu.be/KqBB-0Y3yYk     This team's general population video covered AI art. The topic was gone into briefly but did cover the main points that surround the topic and therefore was appropriate for the selected audience. The presentation is pretty clear throughout although it did have a bit of a rough ending. The research was done using quality sources, not much outside research was evidently used but overall what they did have was used to focus on the topic. The video was overall well produced and engaging -- there are limitations in picture quality from Google slides but animations were used well, as a story element, and were not distracting. The video clips were very separated but did have one or two verbal transitions that displayed teamwork. Professional Population Video:  https://youtu.be/geQ1qYcSneI     This topic was well covered in this professionally targeted video -- bey...

CST300 Module 7

1. Our team chose to mainly collaborate through a variety of methods alongside the video projects lifetime. At first, we simply populated a special discord chat with links to resources that we believed would fit into the video projects topic. We then filled out a Google Doc with all  the information we'd like to cover in the video. Finally we populated two Google Slide projects with the two separate audiences in mind. Overall this form of collaboration had a bit of an issue with sharing ideas but we supplemented this shortcoming through more frequent text collaboration. In the future I might prefer more voice meetings over the course of the projects completion. 2. A primary part of presentations that I learned from the provided materials would be to keep information on slides as concise as possible and not spell out the whole script of the presenter. In terms of the TED presentation portion of the lecture, I chose to watch the video titles "How AI could empower any business...

CST300 Module 6

Part 1: For the capstone project, our team discussed possible ideas during our weekly team meeting. Although we are unsure of any solid ideas just yet we do have a sort of direction or category we'd like to go into. This category is based around a website or app that would solve a day-to-day issue we may individually have -- such as needing to keep track of a vehicle's miles and maintenance. Between now and when we will begin the capstone project we will keep the project in mind and develop more solid ideas in the near future. Part 2: This week we are continuing with our ethics paper and are planning to finish the first draft this week so that some of our team members can review it. Our team decided to keep the list of who is reviewing who paper the same as the industry analysis paper so that the planning is easy and hard to get confused. Otherwise the lecture material this week mainly focused on helping us understand what qualities we should develop or focus on in order to be...

CST300 Module 5

Part 1: Comment 1             Comment 2 Part 2: My first capstone project idea would be an app that allows you to easily track multiple data points regarding your vehicles such as gas mileage, total miles driven, and maintenance schedules by allowing the user to easily enter current mileage and gas purchased at every fillup. My second project idea would be an Arduino-managed dash camera system to allow a safe parking mode to work with any off-the-shelf dash camera. The final project would be a cost-effective and 3d printable product that measures the temperature of water specifically in the shower and then adjusts the shower knob to allow for a user to punch in what temperature they want. Part 3: This week covered the idea of logical fallacies in arguments such as a slippery slope and an undistributed middle. I've had multiple English classes cover these in depth in the past and so they aren't a new topic to me. Otherwise, the main assignments thi...
