CST300 Module 8

 Part 1:

Team MobiusRetrieval:

General Population Video: https://youtu.be/KqBB-0Y3yYk

This team's general population video covered AI art. The topic was gone into briefly but did cover the main points that surround the topic and therefore was appropriate for the selected audience. The presentation is pretty clear throughout although it did have a bit of a rough ending. The research was done using quality sources, not much outside research was evidently used but overall what they did have was used to focus on the topic. The video was overall well produced and engaging -- there are limitations in picture quality from Google slides but animations were used well, as a story element, and were not distracting. The video clips were very separated but did have one or two verbal transitions that displayed teamwork.

This topic was well covered in this professionally targeted video -- beyond this, the video also had a heightened quality of production with a specialized introduction. The presentation was very clear in its messaging and covered the topic from start to finish with good-quality sources. Overall the video was very engaging and interesting due to its good coverage of the topic and the controversy regarding AI art. The different member's sections molded together well and the video had a much greater detail than the general population presentation which makes it appropriate for its audience.

Team Pocket-Sized Solutions:

In a way, the topic was very well covered -- the actual information in the video wasn't too in-depth with research to back it up but the video was still engaging, clear, and had a clear high-quality production due to the work put into the animation that chose to portray the information through demonstration. Teamwork is very evident due to the meshing of animation and voice acting and the video seems appropriate for a general audience. It's not professional in much of a sense but gets the point across in a fun and visual way.

This topic is very well covered, this version of the project went into detail on what ads they are referencing and how they may affect any targeted audience. Overall the presentation was very clear in its message and it's generally a well-produced video with quality research. As with the last video, there is great evidence of effort and teamwork with them making animation mend with video and slide voiceovers. In general, it is engaging with information that affects everyone who uses a mobile device and is most appropriate for a professional audience, although the inclusion of animation might be seen as something that doesn't belong in a professional video by some people.

Team SoCal PacifiCode

General Population Video: https://youtu.be/WpUy1U6l-y8

This video covered the topic of data collection very briefly -- as it is a video targeted toward a non-professional audience. Overall the video is normally clear although a lack of audio normalization leads the audio to be a bit muddled at times. The information mentioned in the video would normally come from good sources although no specific research sources are mentioned or shown. Overall, each member covered a specific part of the topic and by doing so demonstrated some teamwork with delegating subtopics.

Professional Population Video: https://youtu.be/mR1dtsXBXb0

In this video, the topic was very well covered. Overall it was very clear in its informative message and used more factual data and resources to help support it. This use of more data brings out the more professional aspect of the video and makes it more engaging for anyone seeking to learn about the topic. Otherwise, there still was an issue with audio normalization with random highs and lows but besides this, the video was well put together and different group members' parts meshed together well.

Part 2:

My general pop video: https://youtu.be/K4vS7_YUiAA

My professional pop video: https://youtu.be/PAteihHNnsg

This course mainly taught me how to properly find, source, and utilize data collected from outside sources in any project of mine -- specifically in an essay or video format. I have previously completed assignments similar to this in the past but not very often -- the majority of my writing assignments from previous courses have been fiction based through analyzing poetry or something similar. Overall communication and collaboration within our team went rather well. There are some difficulties we are working through but mostly any difficulties we have had have come from getting used to this teamwork format and our collaboration should continue to improve in efficiency and in what we produce. We will seek to improve our communication in future assignments by possibly adding another group meeting timeslot for a second day during large projects.
