    • I have been contributing to our status update that is due at the conclusion of the next week while my group member is continuing to work on our applications front end.
  • 5pt: What is your plan for next week?
    • Our plan is to button up our application in preparation for the presentation -- which is primarily through continued development of the front end alongside tweaks revealed to be necessary through our testing.
  • 5pt: What challenges, if any, are you currently facing in project development? Do you need instructor assistance
    • N/A, our development is continuing well.

What went well? What would you improve? What was the most impactful part? What challenges did you face? Overall I was able to complete my service hours but with some difficulty in making sure I made my weekly goal, ideally I could have started earlier to allow my site more time to assign me tasks. Our class essay went pretty smoothly throughout the course even though my group and I were dreading completing the assigned section of our essay every week. In terms of challenges for this course it was mainly just scheduling, having 2 classes at the same time with what felt like a standard workload we’ve come to expect from each with our service learning on top. If instead 462S was on it own and our graphics design course was paired up with a different course such as the web design one, then it would have been a much more manageable courseload.  What advice do you have for future SL students? CST489 / 499 Week 16

  For this week, please spend time browsing through your two years of journals and reflect on your overall experience and growth in the program. Some thoughts on future plans would be great, also.   This program has been an interesting two years, we've gone over so much material and yet I know I have so much more to learn just due to the nature of this field. I hope to continue to grow as I have these past 2 years and into a position where I can leverage my new skills.

CST438 Module 7

  Describe some of the differences between using an Agile process and using a  Plan and Document (or Waterfall) process.      The overarching difference between Agile and Waterfall is seen in how Agile generally has a design process that is broken up into smaller sprints with planning intermingled compared to Waterfall which has different stages of the project documented at the start before any development. This generally results in the Agile process being easier to pivot in the middle of development, having higher customer involvement throughout, and lower risk through constant testing in exchange for a lack of a concrete final project vision. Waterfall generally has the final project deliverable planned and documented prior to development which can lead to higher risk involved in testing and a reduce ability to pivot in the middle of development.
